Our approach to giving you the excellent service you deserve along with a beautiful smile involves a joint effort between you and our highly qualified Team. Your first visit begins with introductions to our staff and a brief tour of our office. You will sit down with our Treatment Coordinator who will listen to your needs along with any concerns you may have about your smile. If you are a parent bringing in your child, our first priority is helping them feel that they are in a comfortable, safe environment. We will address any questions you may have, such as the need for treatment and the appropriate timing of getting the treatment started. To start your exam, a clinical staff member will assist Dr. van den Berg in taking digital photographs of your teeth and your smile. After conducting an extensive orthodontic evaluation of your teeth, jaws and bite relationship, Dr. van den Berg will explain his findings to you and present you with a customized treatment plan. Our Treatment Coordinator will then answer any questions you may have about your treatment and thoroughly explain the steps involved in getting you or your child started on the way to a beautiful smile. The treatment fee will be discussed, and many affordable payment options are available to suit your individual needs. At the end of your consultation you will receive a personalized New Patient Packet which includes Dr. van den Berg’s findings, his treatment goals, your or your child's personalized treatment plan and the expected treatment time. The packet also includes a copy of your digital photographs as well as helpful information about office policies and procedures. Our Treatment Coordinator will schedule your next appointments with you: We pre-reserve room in our schedule to enable our new patients to begin treatment right away. Once you have decided to get that smile you’ve always wanted we don’t want you to have to wait several months to get your treatment started! Our goal is to make your treatment and office visits as pleasant and convenient as possible and to keep you fully informed in the process! Bring your pre-mailed Health History form with you already filled out. This will save you time at your appointment. Be as accurate and thorough as possible when filling out this form. Accurate and detailed information about you and your insurance will help us to best serve you. If you have Orthodontic Incurance coverage, know what your beneift is before we see you for your first appointment. You can find out your insurance benefit by contacting your insurance company directly, or the Human Resources Department of the person that is insured. Bring your insurance card with you.
